Here are three horror movie plots that were rejected by studios.

1. A psychopath escapes prison and ends up getting besieged in a toy
store during a thunderstorm. A freak accident has him being struck by
lightning while holding a maniacal looking kid's doll in his hands.
The police discover the man on the brink of death, chanting what one
officer recognizes as ancient voodoo spells. But voodoo spells don't
work since there is no such thing as magic and the psychopath dies.
The doll is trashed since selling it would be "kinda creepy". The End.

2. Six twenty somethings (two couples and two unattached folk) get a
great deal to rent a cabin in the middle of the woods. Little do they
know that the cost is low because the cabin is 3 miles from a mental
institution known for frequent breakouts. The attached couples smoke
weed and have a lot of sex while the singles seem to really hit it off
with one another. The guy in one of the couples is a mysogynistic
asshole who is unduly mean to his cheerleader girlfriend. As he steps
out to go for a walk alone in the woods after a bout of passionless,
he discovers the insane assylum. He runs back to the cabin to warn his
companions, who assure him that security has been stepped up at the
institution since the last breakout. They are right. The two singles
find they don't have much in common, and the asshole and his girlfriend
end up in a loveless marriage. He has an affair with the secretary,
she with his best friend. The End.

3. Four twenty somethings experience a breakdown en route to a skynyrd
concert. The only house they find belongs to a family of butchers.
They invite them in. "We would like to have you for dinner", they say.
Little do they know that the meat served is pork. The Muslim guy in
the group has a crisis of faith after discovering how good pig tastes.
He ends up renouncing his religion and marrying a catholic woman. His
parents finally come to terms with their now atheist son and realize
that his wife is actually a good-hearted person, even though she may
not be Muslim. The End. Or is it? Yes it is.
